During all years there have been many famous guests at Torpa. Of these we can mention Wilhelm Moberg, famous swedish writer and General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army. At the summertime were guests sitting in the arbour enjoying their afternoon-coffee and the sea-

view. It was popular to take a promenade to the beach and it was generally believed that the air here was healthy. It was customary to dress up for the dinner and every guest had fixed places in the dining-room.

Our ambition has been to restore everything very carefully to a modern standard but beware the charm and atmosphere from the past. All our rooms are different and beautifully appointed with great care of all details, big as small ones.

Every room has got a name after the person who once lived here. Perhaps You are going to sleep in the room

of Operasinger Karl Wang, Made of honour Alette Wedel-Jarlsberg or General William Booth.

Every room has modern facilities like toilet, shower,TV with german and english channels, telephone, clock-radio, mini-bar, hairdrier and toweldrier. Most of the rooms have a nice sea-view and some of the rooms have a balcony. In the morning You find the breakfast-buffe in our dining-room with a lovely sea-view. You can sleep peacefully here, we have a good fire safety with separete fire escapes from every room. Free parking. Own landing-stage.
